Job Role / Summary : The primary function of this position is to perform the installation, repair and maintenance of all plant equipment and to perform the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds. In addition, persons in this classification set-up equipment as needed in their area(s)
Job Responsibilities : Essential & Secondary Functions :
Safety :
- Responsible to follow all safety procedures and practices.
- Help identify opportunities for safety improvements and assist in implementing the solutions as needed.
- Follow OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and any other local, state, and federal regulated guidelines.
Quality :
Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the manufacturing operation.Responsibility & Customer Focused :
Responsible for preparing and maintaining all records associated with the work performed, including work orders, purchase orders, inventory records and all associated computer database inputs.Responsible for keeping their work area clean and orderly at all times following the 5S principles.Support 5S Lean practices : Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.Troubleshoot and repair equipmentCreate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuitsMaintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs and associated equipment.Provide suggestions during incident investigationsHelp maintain spare parts list and work with internal supplier to manage listRead technical manuals to understand equipment and controlsDisassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problemRepair or replace broken or malfunctioning componentsPerform tests and run initial batches to make sure that the machine is running smoothlyDetect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic testsTest malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are neededAdjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specificationsClean and lubricate equipment or machineryMove machinery and equipmentIntegrity
All tasks are to be performed in accordance with Grote’s safety & environmental procedures and within OSHA, NEC and NFPA 70E guidelines.Self-motivated to research and look for ways to improve on process and equipment.Other Functions
