Survey Party Chief
Job Location : Lexington, Kentucky
Compensation : $75,000 - $95,000 (depending on experience level)

About You :
We are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead field survey crews, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure that all surveying activities are performed accurately and efficiently. This role requires a strong leader with excellent technical skills and a passion for mentoring others.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Direct and oversee field survey teams in various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA / NSPS, and control surveys.
- Ensure all field activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Plan and conduct field survey assignments using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret survey data for use in engineering and construction projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, sketches, and reports.
- Utilize CAD software to process survey data and produce maps and drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Communicate progress updates and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure all surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Manage inventory of survey supplies and equipment.
- Mentor and train junior survey staff in surveying techniques and equipment use.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
