MAMAN CORP IS AN ESTABLISHED, SUCCESSFUL AND GROWING COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVING CHICAGOLAND AND NATIONAL CLIENTELE. WE ARE SEEKING TO ADD TO OUR TEAM A STAFF PROJECT ACCOUNTANT WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for a varied amount of administrative and bookkeeping tasks. S/he is expected to demonstrate sincere desire to learn our processes and assist with the overall administrative, bookkeeping, organizational and analytical needs of Maman Corp and our clients. They must have the ability to work with co-workers in a cooperative manner and candidates considered for the position must possess excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills. Support the comptroller and office managers with document control procedures and electronic job file archiving.
· Able to read and understand technical forms
· Provide monthly detail for General Journal entries, insure proper recording of new purchases/disposals.
· Follow up to ensure timely receipt of on correspondences and outstanding requests.
· Prepare AP check runs
· Preform other accounting and financial or administrative tasks as maybe required for tome to time on short notice.
· Generate and send monthly AR statements and follow up on past due receivables.
- General and monitor Over/Under Billing reports, WIPS to assure projects are billed appropriately and fully.
- Manage project costs through the ongoing evaluation of labor, material and equipment; continue to forecast and analyze construction costs, exposure and profits through project.
- Prepare balance sheet & account reconciliations as directed.
- Provide year- end support for audits.
- Research any un-billed issue to optimize the billing possibilities.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS- THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Our Staff Project Accountant must be highly motivated and have a history of integrity, honesty, loyalty and recognize the confidential nature of their role in the business operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance from an accredited College or University
- 2 years of experience in administration and/or accounting or related field
- Proven to be highly self-motivated, strong personal initiative and solid judgment.
- Strong service orientation and ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Excellent Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, outlook and Project Scheduling (preferred), with emphasis on complex Excel spreadsheet capabilities and Word.
- Proven leadership and managerial abilities to interact with all levels of management.
- Proven analytical skills as a problem predictor, not just problem solver.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and flexible in prioritizing work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in web based.

- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test (paid for by the company)
- This position will require background check as well as education verification.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Working Knowledge of Foundations construction software
- Experience working within an Engineering, Architectural or Construction management firm.
