The Cook is a vital part of our operations. The Cook understands and adheres to our standard portions, cooking methods, policies and procedures. The Cook will anticipate customers’ needs and exceed expectations. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. -Must be at least 18 years of age. -Spanish is a plus but not required. -Prior food service industry experience is helpful, but not required. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. -Must have Food Handler Certificate. -Must be a team player. -Hospitality and customer service oriented. -Ability to read and understand simple instructions. -COMPUTER SKILLS -Basic personal computer skills are a plus Physical Requirements -Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and / or wet surface for at least eight consecutive hours. -Speaks and listens in-person to staff regarding food preparation and safety matters for at least eight consecutive hours. -Reads food safety measuring devices. -Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead. -Routinely carries full service tray. -Cuts, measures, and mixes food items in a wet environment. -Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least eight consecutive hours. -Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
