The Prep Cook assists the cooks in the preparation of menu items. The Prep Cook must be able to work quickly and efficiently to keep up with the required production levels. The Prep Cook will anticipate and exceed customers’ needs and expectations. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. -Must be at least 18 years of age. -Spanish is a plus but not required. -Must have Food Handler Certificate. -Must be a team player. -Hospitality and customer service oriented. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. -Ability to read and understand simple instructions. COMPUTER SKILLS -Basic computer skills are a plus. Physical Requirements -Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and / or wet surface for at least eight consecutive hours. -Speaks and listens in-person to staff regarding food preparation and safety matters for at least eight consecutive hours. -Reads food safety measuring devices. -Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead. -Routinely carries full service tray. -Cuts, measures, and mixes food items in a wet environment. -Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least eight consecutive hours. -Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
