What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at Mammoth Hospital?
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for maintaining the inventory of medical supplies, keeping accurate records of all warehouse transactions, and pursuing cost reductions.
What You'll Do:
- Manage inventory of stock medical supplies by keeping accurate records of costs, quantities on-hand, and quantities on order. Assures and takes responsibility that patient care is not affected by shortages/back-orders.
- Reviews usage and adjusts min/max stocking levels to meet actual demand of stock supplies in warehouse. Reports to team any changes.
- Conducts/manages random cycle count checks of quantities on-hand, and expired items, assist in regular physical inventory counts.
- Maintain all Item Master records, and process all paperwork related to supplies and their distribution.
- Process department requisitions for non-stock & special order items and communicate effectively with staff of the status.
- Create POs with all relevant information. Receive shipping information from Warehouse Clerk and process accordingly.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of two years of warehouse stocking required.
- Minimum of three years of buying experience required.

- Customer service experience.
Job Information:
- Full-time, day shifts.
- Starting wage $25.95 to $31.46 based on qualifications.
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
