Duties and Responsibilities
- Coach the men’s basketball team in game competition including direct daily practice during the prescribed season.
- Manage basketball operations including
- Recruit prospective players
- Supervise team travel and responsible for team equipment
- Construct a competition schedule with approval of the athletic director
- Follow NCAA rules and regulations regarding team participation
- Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes
- Assist the athletic director with public relations and fundraising activities
- Supervise assistant coach
- Direct summer camps

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree is preferred
- Two years of basketball coaching experience required at the professional or college or 10 plus years of high school head coaching experience.

- Demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership

- Understanding of the student-athletes’ commitment to academics
- Knowledge of the Northwest Indiana area school systems is preferred
- As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced ensuring compliance relative to those applicable duties
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University
- Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy
