- Coach the Men’s Basketball team in game competition. Direct daily practice during the prescribed season.
- Recruit prospective players. Supervise team travel and responsible for team equipment checkout and return. Construct competition schedule with approval of the Director of Athletics. Follow NCAA rules and regulations regarding team participation. Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes.
- Assist the Director of Athletics with public relations and fundraising activities.
- Supervise Assistant Coach.
- Direct summer camps.

- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred.
- Two years basketball coaching experience required at the professional, college or high school level.
- Must have strong team building/management skills
- Ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate collaborative efforts
- Demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership
- Ability to interact with members of the public and media
- Ability to supervise regular and temporary staff
- Understanding of the student-athletes’ commitment to academics
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Knowledge of the Northwest Indiana area school systems is preferred.
- As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced ensuring compliance relative to those applicable duties.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University.
- Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy.
