Position
We are seeking a highly experienced, organized and professional Senior Patent Paralegal IN THE U.S. ONLY to provide comprehensive support to our Legal Department and Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will work in our organization by organizing, preparing and filing various patents, supporting litigation, and other ongoing business needs. Experience in a high growth legal department, and/or law firm IP department is essential. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can navigate a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of discretion, creativity, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
· Actively manage patent portfolio.
· Draft and file patents with the USPTO.
· Conduct prior art searches.
· Work side-by-side attorneys on in-house business affairs and litigation, including any discovery needs.
· Support commercial contract deal flow.
· Serve as trusted legal advisor to Chief Legal Officer and Executive Leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
· Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor of science degree in engineering is preferred)
· A minimum experience of five (5) years in a paralegal role, preferably in large firm and/or in-house legal department.
· Investigative mind and strong legal research skills, particularly in patent.
· Experience in preparing legal reports, documentation and reporting.
· Must have excellent understanding of legal procedures and terminology, particularly in patent.
· Excellent communication, writing, and time management skills.
· Foreign language skills are a plus (Mandarin).

Monday to Friday (after hours may be necessary)

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
