This specific position is in the Bill Review Department. As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the team, providing crucial support to ensure smooth operations for the Coders and Nurses within the department and the organization.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word & Access
· Knowledge of medical terminology, workers’ compensation billing guidelines and fee schedules
· Medical billing or coding experience
- Is highly detail-oriented and accurate
· Able to work collaboratively and independently
· Able to identify problems and find creative, effective solutions
- Able to adjust to changing priorities and adaptable with a high sense of urgency
- Is solutions-oriented and completes tasks and projects effectively and in a timely manner
- Ability to be a team-player who works well with executives and employees at all levels
- Maintains a positive attitude, is reliable, hard-working, and motivated
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred, but not necessary
- 2 years of medical office experience preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supports the administrative needs of the bill review department.
· Must document and verify information in the Company’s Microsoft Access Database.
· Review accuracy and completeness of information requested and ensure that all supporting documentation is present.
· Ensures reviews are properly and closely monitored for timeliness.
· Delivers exceptional customer service with every customer interaction.
· Assists and supports customer service and account management processes as required.
· Trouble shoots and problem solves
· Escalates complaints and problems to management as needed.
· Processes documentation, including emails, letters, faxes & customer invoices.
Other Functions:
- Perform special projects assigned by team lead/manager
- Provide cross coverage within department when deemed necessary
- Occasionally perform front office duties as assigned
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,600.00 - $43,680.00 per year
