This role involves managing the engineering team's workflow, developing analytical tools, and collaborating with other departments to optimize engineering processes and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Stress Engineers, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
- Develop structural substantiation plans and manage team assignments to meet program objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to achieve engineering goals.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project status and structural substantiation efforts.
- Provide technical guidance and maintain engineering quality standards.
- Assist with bids and cost estimations for new programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Aerospace background and experience with aircraft interiors required.
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulations and FAA requirements.
- Proficiency in NASTRAN and classical hand analysis for aircraft structural components.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Must qualify as a US Person under ITAR regulations.
- Ability to travel and work outside core business hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and adjust focus for detailed work.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
