Description :
Management and Construction Solutions Inc, an industry leader in the management of construction upgrades and installations of large industrial projects, is looking for an experienced Project Mechanical Coordinator. This is a full-time year-round position with a 7-month assignment in Skowhegan, ME. Permanent relocation is not required but onsite work is required for 20-25 days per month. A per diem allowance for housing and food as well as compensated travel between site and home are provided.
Duties include :
A daily presence in the field to supervise / oversee Mechanical Contractors to keep their work on-schedule and under budget while maintaining safe working conditions, including identifying / removing roadblocks to contractors’ progress toward production targets
Other duties may include :
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to create / review / approve Request for Quotations for labor / material / equipment necessary to complete the scope
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to order material / equipment to complete scope, including verifying quantities through takeoffs and approving contractor requisitions.
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to create / maintain / update Mechanical schedule
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to review / monitor the Mechanical contractors’ schedules / productivity / budgets with an emphasis on QA / QC
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to perform construction commissioning activities, including the creation of the CCO packages
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to lead all safety aspects of the construction site
