SUMMARY : Management Business Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist for its client in Grand Rapids, MI . This individual will oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Specialist will handle payroll for a large workforce, including processing garnishments, unemployment claims, and withholdings, while collaborating with HR and accounting teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees using payroll software such as Oracle Fusion, Paychex, or ADP.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll for a large workforce.
- Review and validate payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, union dues, tax withholdings, and garnishments.
- Process garnishments, ensuring compliance with applicable laws for child support, tax levies, and other deductions.
- Ensure accurate withholding for federal, state, and local taxes, as well as benefits and retirement plan deductions.
- Prepare and file tax reports at federal, state, and local levels, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to address payroll-related concerns and streamline processes.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and generate reports as needed.
- Address payroll discrepancies and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
- Stay informed about updates to payroll laws and regulations.
- Monitor payroll system data integrity and recommend process improvements.
