Are you a dynamic sales professional with a passion for hospitality and driving revenue? We are looking for a Sales Manager to oversee sales efforts across multiple hotels in the Charleston, WV area. Key Responsibilities:
- Increase Sales: Drive group bookings and maximize room revenue by soliciting, negotiating, and booking new and repeat business through a variety of efforts, including outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, and networking.
- Manage Inquiries: Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) received from direct inquiries, third-party lead sites, internet/website, and walk-ins. Prepare and send proposals, collateral, and follow-up communication to potential clients.
- Client Coordination: Work closely with clients to finalize booking details, such as rooming lists and guest agendas. Ensure smooth communication throughout the booking process.
- Customer Experience: Address customer issues or concerns promptly to ensure an excellent guest experience and enhance future sales prospects.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients to sustain and grow market share.
- Team Collaboration: Hold regular meetings with hotel teams to discuss upcoming events, updates, and sales strategies.
- Strategy Development: Assist in creating and executing sales and marketing strategies by analyzing hotel/market trends, with a focus on maximizing revenue and meeting sales goals.
- Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on all property offerings, room rates, promotions, and in-house events.
- Community Engagement: Represent the hotel by participating in trade shows, community events, and professional organizations to increase visibility and reach sales goals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate sales records and files to ensure continuity and high-quality service.
- Additional Duties: Take on special projects, assist with task forces, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
