The Assistant Project Manager performs essential project management tasks working in conjunction with the Project Manager to support the overall direction and completion of a project.
General Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Provide leadership in supporting the overall direction and completion of a project.
• Establish effective working relationships with project team members including the owner, design team, subcontractors, and vendors as necessary to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
• Assist the Project Manager during Preconstruction including bidders list and bid package development. This will include but may not be limited to all activities required for solicitation, monitoring of bidder’s participation, receipt of complete bids, scope review and contract award.
• Establish project specific procedures and lists with the Project Manager as may be necessary for the successful completion of the project in accordance with Company standards.
• Expedite, receive, review, and distribute all project submittals in accordance with the Specifications following standards.
• Ensure that all the following are properly received, logged, and maintained throughout the life of the project.
o Certified payrolls as applicable
o Insurance Certificates in accordance with requirements and the project specifications
o Performance and Payment Bonds in accordance with requirements and the project specifications
o Other project specific documentation such as EEO and S/M/WBE participation requirements
o Requests for Information (RFIs)
o Architect and Engineer Sketches (SKs)
o Architects Supplemental Instructions (ASI)
o Drawing logs
• Periodically update the drawings and specifications with SKs and other revisions received from the design team.
• Issue Change Order Proposals to subcontractors and suppliers as required including any information received from the design team such as SKs, ASIs etc.
• Expedite and review Change Order Proposal costs from subcontractors and maintain a detailed COP log-in sheet in conjunction with the Project Manager. Update Project Management software with COP cost information periodically.
• Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes for all project meetings.

• B.S. degree in Construction technology, Engineering or other related discipline and 2-5 years relevant experience in an Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer position
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
