What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk I/Asset Management position at Manatee County Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller?
Asset Management maintains and monitors a fixed asset inventory system for the County and Constitutional Officers of all fixed assets purchased with County funds within the Accounting division. The Clerk I/Asset Management position is a full-time, non-supervisory position reporting to the Accounting Supervisor.
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data, preferably in an automated systems environment
- Basic mathematical aptitude, as well as alpha and numeric filing skills are required
- Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, proficiency in Microsoft Windows suite
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license

- Maintains and monitors a fixed asset inventory control system in compliance with County and State regulations, using the management software and established division procedures
- Prepares reconciliations and data for reporting
- Participates in the timely completion of various periodic accounting division tasks
- Assists in preparation of Manatee County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
- Utilizes imaging software to collect data for retention and review
- Participates in division cross training initiatives to acquire knowledge and skill sets to support efficient functioning of the assigned division work
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
