The intern will conduct an audit of the Manatee County's GIS systems, including ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal (Portal), to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of system operations. This project will involve verifying the user lists in both systems by cross-referencing them with the County’s MS Windows Active Directory (AD) to identify discrepancies and ensure that access is granted only to current and authorized users.
Additionally, the intern will perform a comprehensive content audit of AGOL and Portal to address issues such as missing icons, empty groups, layers lacking metadata, and other inconsistencies that may hinder system usability. As part of this effort, the intern will inventory data layers to document critical details such as the creator, owner, editor, and consumer of each dataset.
