What are the responsibilities and job description for the HRIS ANALYST position at Manatee County Government?
Work Location: 5213 4th Avenue Circle E, Bradenton, Florida 34209
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, hours will vary based on department needs
Provides operational and technical support for the core HRIS system and peripheral software applications. Responsible for proper and effective operation of HR software, on both the technical and user-facings sides of the systems. Coordinates software installations and upgrades with vendor(s) and internal IT staff. Troubleshoots issues, researches errors, and applies corrections. Provides end-user support and training.

Administers and maintains the core HRIS system and peripheral software applications, such as time and attendance, learning management, and compensation, in collaboration with respective vendors and internal IT staff. Responsible for proper and effective operation of HR software, on both the technical and operational/user-facings sides of the systems.
Assists in developing, streamlining, improving, and maintaining Human Resources business processes. Works to increase the HR department's efficiency and accuracy by eliminating manual and paper-based processes.
Sets up administrator and service permissions based on operational, security and regulatory requirements to keep employee data secure. Ensures access parameters and permissions are properly defined.
Responds to end user requests to troubleshoot issues with the HRIS system and related applications. Troubleshoots system issues and outages. Escalates issues to vendor(s) or Information Technology Department as appropriate, following up as required.
Creates and distributes ad hoc and scheduled reports to meet operational and management needs. Develops and monitors dashboards and metrics.
Monitors, updates, and maintains software systems interfaces to ensure that interfaces exchange data properly. Maintains good working relationships with interface partners to facilitate productive and timely turnaround of required changes and corrections.
Maintains system documentation. Creates appropriate user documentation, procedures, and guidelines.
Trains system users on functionalities and new features. Works with internal training staff and vendors to provide appropriate training resources for individuals of various technical proficiencies.
Works closely with vendor(s) and Information Technology Department to tune and troubleshoot applications. Performs data analysis to ensure system is operating properly. Researches errors and applies corrections.
In conjunction with vendor partners and internal IT staff, plans and coordinates installation and testing of changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
Evaluates vendor products, makes recommendations, and participates in decisions regarding hardware and software upgrades.
Evaluates the security of human resources information. Ensures compliance with Florida Sunshine Laws and data protection regulations.
Performs other related work (including weather or other extreme emergency duties) as required.Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

3 or more years progressively responsible experience in the administration and maintenance of HRIS systems and related software applications.
Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Salary : $54,700 - $82,000
