We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.
We have an immediate opening in our Brooklyn, Iowa Office for a Claims Intake Coordinator.
A Claims Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial processing of insurance claims by gathering and verifying necessary information. This role ensures that claims are recorded accurately, processed in a timely manner, and that all documentation is properly stored for future reference. The specialist will interact with field employees, claimants, and other internal departments to ensure smooth claims handling.

EXCELLENCE
Handle all inbound claim calls from our field personnel and enter into Viewpoint ensuring accuracy of claim details.
Ensure all documentation is properly stored for future reference.
Communicate with claimants to clarify missing or incomplete information.
Track the status of claims and update claimants as necessary.
Assists with the handling of workers’ compensation claims with adjuster, supervisors, and injured employee.
Assist in resolving issues by providing feedback to management on opportunities for process enhancements.
Respond to inquiries regarding the status of claims.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the insurance department.
Assist with special projects when required.
Provide other administrative support as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Customer service focused
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with use of the computer including Microsoft Office tools
Ability to manage multipole tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of insurance industry terminology and claims processing is a plus.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business, insurance, or a related field preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
