Program Director, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Manchester University invites applications for a Program Director to lead our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program on the Fort Wayne campus. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a new and developing program that prepares students to lead principled, productive, and compassionate lives that improve the human condition.

About the Role

As the DPT Program Director, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for program development and continuous improvement

• Oversee accreditation efforts and ensure compliance with CAPTE standards

• Support a collaborative academic environment centered on student learning and success

• Strengthen partnerships with clinical and community organizations

• Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service within a supportive and values-driven culture

This role blends leadership with direct academic engagement—offering both administrative influence and the opportunity to stay connected to teaching and mentorship.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who meet the following:

• Terminal academic degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc)

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Indiana

• At least six years of higher education experience, including three as core faculty in a CAPTE-accredited program

• Eligibility for appointment at the associate or full professor level

• Evidence of scholarship, leadership, and a commitment to student success

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
