JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the execution of the Beer/Wine/and Spirit portfolio and its priorities in both channels by leveraging all the sales and marketing tools available at distributor and account level. Work directly with sales managers and account level sales personnel to focus on the execution of key initiatives and programs. Work as the interface with suppliers in order to assist in the analysis, development, and execution of these activities and programs. Ensure prioritization of the spirits portfolio through effective planning, communication, and execution of brand strategies.

Core Job Functions:

  • Work with sales managers, sales representatives, and supplier personnel in the planning, development, and execution of programs and activities in the on-premise with secondary focus off-premise.
  • Implement and ensure the execution of the on-premise brand standards and objectives at the key account level to include distribution, securing drink menus and drink lists. Accomplish this through personal accountability and effectively communicating missions and expectations with the sales teams
  • Assist in the development of monthly business drivers
  • Provide analytical support to sales managers and suppliers
  • Keep informed of competitive activity in the market and communicate to management through solution based process
  • Manage time and schedule in order to execute work-withs, working the trade and managing key strategic accounts across the on-premise 3-4 days per week
  • Establish “Key” account list for executional excellence
  • Support and participate in the execution of high profile PR/sampling events
  • Utilize brand expertise to execute trade sampling and staff training/education in the on-premise
  • Assist sales managers in setting up trade surveys and participate in the execution of sales and merchandising drives
  • Assist in the management of marketing budgets in accordance with the business plan
  • Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The Portfolio Development manager is routinely responsible for performing duties beyond the normal workday i.e. route coverage and emergency deliveries.
  • The Portfolio Development manager is accountable for brand depletion information, budget updates, and monthly analysis of sales incentives and account level programming.
  • Also responsible for maintaining a weekly personal work calendar, introducing new products to the sales force, achieving monthly goals and quotas, and maintaining positive relationships with key accounts.

Requirements

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

A four-year undergraduate degree preferred.

Prior sales experience (2 years), retail experience (2 years), and restaurant/bar experience (2 years) necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Indirectly responsible for individual salesperson performance on assigned brands

MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:

Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, performing accounting work, using a computer terminal, AND/OR extensive reading.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time, ability to move about to access various objects, ability to operate office machinery such as a computer, ability to communicate effectively. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Computer, printer, fax machine, photocopier and telephone.

Ability to use Microsoft Office software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
