Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Network Project Manager with a strong technical background in network engineering. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise and project management skills to lead and coordinate network-related projects, manage daily operations, and ensure service delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Call & Scheduling: Organize on-call rotations and scheduled jobs, ensuring adequate staffing and adherence to company policies.
- Work Management: Set daily priorities, assign tasks, and collaborate with the team to ensure efficient task distribution and incident management.
- Tool & Access Management: Ensure the team has access to necessary tools, procedures, and documentation to perform tasks effectively.
- Reporting: Compile and deliver monthly service and project hours reports.
- KPI Analysis: Track and analyze KPIs, report findings, and suggest improvements.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for L3 incidents, manage service queues, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Meetings: Attend weekly and daily meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Firewalls: Experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Firepower; familiarity with NERC/CIP and Bluecoat Proxy.
- Cloud & Networking: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, VPNs, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, and remote networking.
- Tools: Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Infoblox, and network management tools like Prime Infrastructure, NetScout, and Ansible Tower.
- Certifications: CCNP and familiarity with Zscaler, Akamai.
Required Project Management Skills:
- Lead goal-focused meetings with clear action items.
- Manage technical teams in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in handling high-maintenance clients and conflict resolution.
- Willing to work weekends and participate in global meetings outside U.S. business hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of network engineering and project management experience.
