JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mancor, SC is in search of an Experienced Press Brake Operators to join our Lugoff, SC team. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PRESS BRAKE EXPERIENCE, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Must have the ability to set-up and operate hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and measure completed work pieces using calipers, templates or rulers to verify conformance to specifications. Candidates need to be team-players who are organized and reliable with a focus on quality and safety.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes in a just-in-time fabrication with some assistance provided. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required. This is a cross functional position within the Fabrication department.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safe work practices.
- Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
- Adjust ram strokes of presses to specified lengths, using hand tools.
- Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes.
- Stamp part number on work pieces.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up is desired.
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
- Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and over
- Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs required at all times on plant floor
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
