What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at MANDEL JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF CLEVELAND?
Summary: The Human Resource Generalist will assist in various aspects of our seasonal employee’s lifecycle primarily working with our camp teams. Role currently is 20-25 hours seasonally per week from March – August. Flexible work hours which may require some early evening or weekend hours to ensure staff are screened and on boarded properly and timely.
Essential Functions:
- Recruitment and Hiring:

- Attending local job fairs, posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, working with agency leaders to ensure offers are administered, screening completed, and HRIS onboarding training completed.
- Employee Relations:
-
- Listening to employee concerns, sharing with HR management for resolution and promoting positive employee relations.
- Compliance:
-
- Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including maintaining employee records and updating policies as needed.
- Training and Development:
-
- Assist in training needs and assist in developing and delivering training programs.
Employee Engagement:

- Promote employee morale, wellness and engagement.
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Rising College Junior or Senior seeking internship opportunities or recent graduate with bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
