Purpose of Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of four years of substantive litigation experience, specifically in managing complex commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to support senior counsel as well as independently handle cases across various stages of litigation. This role requires active bar admission in both New York and New Jersey, and familiarity with New York's CPLR, the Federal Rules, and other pertinent legal procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support strategic decision-making.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other essential litigation documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and appeals.
- Conduct and participate in depositions.
- Maintain effective communication with courts, clients, and opposing counsel.
- Keep current with legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to ensure high-quality legal representation.
