Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer for a backfill role with a confidential client in Dallas, TX. The initial phase of the engagement will require on-site work, with the possibility of remote work later.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database development and design, with a strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and the ability to build database solutions from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL code for enterprise applications.
- Design and implement Oracle database solutions from scratch, beyond modifying existing code.
- Work with Oracle Advanced Queues, LOBs, and Collections for efficient data processing.
- Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, Explain Plan analysis, and indexing strategies.
- Develop and utilize Analytical SQL, Pipelined, and Table functions for data transformation.
- Implement and query JSON and XML data structures within Oracle databases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in PL/SQL development with hands-on experience in database design.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Advanced Queues (a highly specialized skill).
- Experience with Oracle LOBs, Collections, and performance tuning techniques.
- Proficiency in Analytical SQL, Pipelined and Table functions.
- Ability to interpret and optimize Explain Plans for query performance.
- Experience working with JSON and XML Query Language in Oracle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
