THE ROLE:  


The position will entail both sales and customer service responsibilities. 

 

We need a bright, creative, empathetic, and compassionate person who can convey the value of our services to potential clients and enhance our client experience. You will work closely with other members of the team to develop and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources. You will help us realize our vision of helping more people!

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Our Client Relations Specialist will conduct initial consultations with prospective new clients (“PNCs”). These PNCs seek out our Firm and are pre-screened by a client intake team member who collects basic information before the Client Relations Specialist conducts the initial consultation. The Client Relations Specialist is not required or expected to make cold calls.  


Our Client Relations Specialist will:  


  • Collect more in-depth information about the PNCs and the matters for which they are seeking the Firm’s help.  
  • Follow Firm prescribed guidelines on how to communicate with PNCs in the most effective manner.  
  • Assure the PNCs that the Firm’s attorneys and staff will be able to help them. 
  • Show compassion for their troubles  
  • Help the PNC see the difference between working with the Firm and not working with the Firm.  

In accordance with the ethical rules governing lawyers, the Client Relations Specialist will not provide legal advice. Rather, the Client Relations Specialist will prepare prospective clients for entering into an engagement with the final documents approved and signed by a licensed attorney.  


The selected candidate must be able to keep detailed records about all sales metrics including but not limited to: PNCs that contact the Firm, the number that come in for initial consultations, and the number that actually engage the Firm.  


The Client Relations Specialist will also be responsible to stay in contact with PNCs that do not sign up after their initial consultation to keep the door open for them to hire the Firm when they are ready. 

Those PNCs who do hire the Firm will usually receive two follow up calls from the Client Relations Specialist, to check in on their satisfaction and progress with their legal matter. This is for quality assurance.  


SKILLS: 


The Client Relations Specialist must be confident, articulate, diplomatic, yet willing to speak frankly to the PNC when needed with high emotional intelligence with the openness to grow.  The Client Relations Specialist must be able to bring PNCs to the point of signing an engagement letter with the Firm and collecting payment. 

The Client Relations Specialist must be self-motivating and self-directed to achieve their professional goals and the Firm’s goals. 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:   


The ideal candidate has sold high end products like jewelry, cars, real estate, and luxury brand apparel or luxury fashion accessories. The Client Relations Specialist should have education and/or work experience the equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree. 

Real life experience & a few “battle scars” to give you empathy and understanding is an asset. Experience overcoming a major obstacle in life and making an important change in your life so you know at your core that others can do it too, is a plus. 


COMPENSATION:  


Compensation is comprised of a base salary incentives for each benchmark met. Benefits include bonus opportunities, paid holidays, paid time off, health insurance allowance, and the option to participate in our retirement savings plan with employer match. Benefits of working for a SMALL FIRM …  


• An average salesperson will make $50,000 to $60,000 per year. 

• A good salesperson will make $60,000 to $70,000 per year 

• A great salesperson will make $70,000 to $85,000 per year. 

• An all-star salesperson will make $90,000 this year and more than $100,000 in subsequent years (based upon our figures and expectations).
