We have an immediate opening to hire an experienced Automation Controls Technician II for our Lebanon facility. The Automation Controls Technician II primary duties are to provide maintenance, controls, and troubleshooting support for facility and manufacturing critical systems. Under limited supervision they will perform controls PM’s, work orders, assist in capital and continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with other maintenance personnel. Techniques used will conform to engineering principles established by MANE and other industry standards. They are intimately knowledgeable of the plant processes and process equipment. This position interacts with all internal departments and external contractors, vendors, auditors, and customers. Key competencies: Analytical Skills, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills, Mathematical and Schematic and Blueprint Reading Skills, and Computer Skills. This position requires broad knowledge or experience in the automation/controls field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform their own controls work without supervision.
- Utilize experience to provide controls assistance and troubleshooting support.
- Must be able to clearly communicate control issues and processes to maintenance and production when needed.
- Prepare written work instructions for controls procedures.
- Skilled use of systems (i.e. SAP, LOTO, spare part management, etc.) used to complete jobs.
- Maintain a catalogued storage system of Automation software and licenses.
- Assist on-duty Maintenance Mechanics with day-to-day repairs and long-term projects.
- Assist Engineering and Maintenance with continuous improvement and capital projects.
- Maintain controls programs at Lebanon, DC, and Woodlawn facilities.
- Ability to program VFDs, PLCs, and HMIs for production use.
- Review/Maintain electrical drawings for all production and support machinery.
- Provide mechanical and electrical support as needed to shift technicians.
- Assist with FATs (Factory acceptance testing) and equipment commissioning.
- Coordinate equipment automation/control upgrades with production areas.
- Assist in providing vacation coverage with team members in both facilities as needed.
- Use knowledge and maintenance/control information systems to drive continuous improvements throughout all facilities.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all GMP and Safety rules and regulations (personal hygiene, trash removal, etc.), including proper use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicates effectively. Typically, about information that requires some explanation or interpretation.

- Consistent with MANE’s environmental commitments, employees will engage in awareness and practical training, relevant to job-related and job-specific roles and responsibilities, in order to adhere to applicable environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with Vocational schooling in maintenance preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automation Controls Technician.
- Thorough understanding of preventative maintenance programs and proactive measures required.
- Advanced Electrical knowledge related to power, controls schemes, and troubleshooting of electrical circuits.
- Experience with CMMS systems, PLC programming, and set up experience desired.
- Moderate PLC/HMI and VFD experience.
- Experience with controls software and tools.
- Experience with panel design and installation.
- Limited or no SCADA (network, vantage point, WIN911, WiHART, OPC, Thin manager, etc.) experience.
- HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, and boiler systems experience desired.
- Flavor industry desired.
