Manganaro is looking for an entry level Business Systems Analyst to join our Beltsville, MD team. The Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, system administration, and process improvements while leveraging cutting-edge business intelligence platforms and technologies to provide actionable insights.

The Business Systems Analyst collaborates with IT and business teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of enterprise-grade solutions, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making processes. The role also focuses on aligning technology solutions with organizational goals, ensuring data integrity, and driving continuous improvement through innovative practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

Systems and ERP Support:

• Provide day-to-day support for ERP systems, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user requests.
• Administer and maintain the Vista by Viewpoint ERP system, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address system bugs and enhancements.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements for system efficiency.

Business Intelligence and Reporting:

• Design and develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Crystal Reports to provide actionable insights to business units.
• Create ad hoc queries to address immediate data and reporting needs.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources to support decision-making.
• Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Support the implementation and optimization of other BI tools as needed.

Process Improvement:

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify system improvements.
• Document workflows and processes to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations as needed.

Training and Documentation:

• Provide training and technical support to end-users on ERP and BI tools.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides and FAQs.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure data integrity and security within ERP and BI systems.
• Support compliance efforts by preparing required documentation and system audits.

Education, Experience & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience supporting ERP systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Preferred Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with equivalent education and experience.
• Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and ERP issues.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools like Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Vista by Viewpoint, including administration and customization.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and troubleshooting data issues.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and improve existing processes.

PREFERRED TECHNOLOGY STACK:

• Business Intelligence Tools: Power BI, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel (with advanced features including VBA), Excel Power Query, Microsoft Report Builder, and other Microsoft BI tools
• ERP Systems: Vista by Viewpoint (preferred), comparable systems include SAP, Oracle ERP, JD Edwards, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Database Tools: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure services including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
• Other Tools: Office 365, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft Power Apps.
• Programming and Scripting: DAX, SQL, Python, R, and C# for data analytics and reporting.
