Manhattan Youth is seeking certified Lifeguards to join our aquatics team at our Downtown Community Center in Tribeca. Positions to start as soon as possible and run through May / June. Successful staff may be invited to continue working for our Summer season.
Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of patrons in the pool facility. Candidates must be punctual, reliable, personable, and have a strong desire to work with children and families.
This is a part-time position. Our pool is open :
- Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-9 : 00pm
- Saturday and Sunday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm
While there may be some weekday hours available, we are primarily seeking lifeguards to work weekend shifts (Saturdays, Sundays, or both.)
Pay : $18-20 per hour, depending upon experience. Lifeguards with swim lesson experience or experience working directly with children in camp or after-school settings may be eligible for $20 / hr .
