Work Environment: Indoor camp setting, Outdoor nature setting. Landis Woods Park: 2369 Lititz Pike
Summary
Work with the Nature Day Camp Director and co-counselors to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the camp, as well as provide a fun, safe, and memorable camp experience.
Essential Functions
- Plan and implement environmental education lessons alongside co-counselors.
- Provide a safe environment for all campers.
- Lead and assist in coordinating structured games, activities, and crafts.
- Keep track of supplies including sporting equipment, crafts, and board game pieces.
- Promote a positive outdoor experience. Supervise campers' daily activities.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to talk, hear, and see.
- Must be able to traverse park trails, with varying degrees of difficulty, at least 1.5 miles
- Able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to supervise students in multiple environments including in nature on trails, fields, and woodlands.
Competencies
- Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Willingness to engage with parents and communicate about their child's growth and success.
- Knowledge of English word usage, spelling, and punctuation.
Skills
- Knowledge of various recreational games and activities.
- Good leadership, communication, and social skills.
Abilities
- Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
- Give clear and concise instructions.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1-year experience supervising children.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Preferred Education and Experience
- Enrolled in a secondary education program for Education, Park and Rec, or related field.
- 1-year supervising children.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must pass required State and Federal Background Checks
