Summary
This is a part time/seasonal position to instruct youth with proper fundamentals needed to play tennis both recreationally and competitively.
Essential Functions
- Give daily instruction to youth ages 6-18 years old
- Effectively utilize drills as well as games to make experience both informative and fun
- Identify where participants are lacking and how they can improve their level of play
- Ensure participants are in a safe environment at all times
- Communicate with parents, participants, instructors, and Lead Instructor
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 15 lbs.) standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to talk, hear, and see.
Competencies
- Ability to communicate policies, rules, and regulations to all that use the facility
- Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation. Ability to communicate clearly with youth participating in Tennis.
Skills
- Knowledge of various tennis techniques and rules and the ability to instruct youth.
- Good leadership, communication, and social skills.
Abilities
- Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
- Give clear and concise instructions.
