Qualifications: Library Science PK-12 Certification
Additional Information: This teacher is responsible for managing the functions of the library and information services by providing effective access to library collections and resources, maintaining the organization of library materials, and providing library services in response to the information needs of library users. Critical areas currently include; empowering students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information while instilling a love of learning in all students while ensuring equitable access to information. Collaboration with classroom teachers is essential to conduct research, design and implement units of instruction, and assess student learning while aligning the School Library Program (SLP) with the district's mission, goals, and objectives. This individual is expected to participate and engage in school community events, and professional development to continue to grow and learn in the position.
