Job Description
You will be responsible for systematic problem solving and troubleshooting of molding and assembly equipment using strong mechanical ability, effective communication skills and demonstration of leadership skills.
Main Tasks
Mold Setter
- Change molds in 500 to 1500 ton injection molding machines
- Ensure proper electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic hook up for tools
- Change robot end of arm tools
- Perform basic machine and robot functions related to tool changeovers
- Check and document machine settings
- Adjust process for common defects
- Program pick and place robots to remove parts from machines
- Document process et-up parameters
- Investigate and resolve machine and robot issues
- Investigate and resolve product quality issues
- Perform changeover within a specified time
- Maintain good housekeeping in line with our 5S principles
- Clean molds and repair tooling as necessary
- Ensure product conformity to quality standards upon start up
- Ensures the fulfillment of HSE requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferably with vocational education training in skilled trades or other related discipline
- Technical aptitude required
- 1 year experience working with injection molding machine set-up and processing
