Job Summary:
MCM is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in the plastic injection molding industry. This role is responsible for generating new business, building long-term relationships with clients, and driving sales growth by promoting our injection molding services and solutions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable about manufacturing processes, and skilled in identifying customer needs to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and target markets for injection molding services.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to understand client needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.
- Product Knowledge & Consultation:
- Demonstrate expertise in plastic injection molding processes, materials, and applications.
- Provide technical guidance to clients, assisting them in selecting the best solutions for their projects.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Proactively identify and pursue new leads through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to connect with potential clients and stay informed on market trends.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and report sales performance metrics, including pipeline status and revenue forecasts.
- Provide feedback to the internal team regarding customer trends, product development opportunities, and competitive activity.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate customer requirements effectively to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the manufacturing or plastic injection molding industry.
- Must have manufacturing sales experience.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
- This will be a hybrid role. Office and work from home.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
