Position Description
Full or Part-time PMHNP PSYCHIATRIC (Life Span) Nurse Practitioner (DNP or PMHNP) is also the Director of our Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). Our PHP programs specialize in eating disorders and Women's Trauma. This position requires you to provide in-person client care, though some appointments may be virtual.
New Graduates are welcomed to apply; Manna is a teaching facility and promotes a a positive, supportive learning environment.
PMHNP will evaluate, collaborate with the team, and help determine appropriate level of care service to the PHP, IOP, and OP clients. Current client mix is predominantly female, adolescents, pediatrics, and adult population. This position is a leadership position and will help direct the programming with other leadership team members.
If PMHNP does not have an existing protocol agreement in place, you may work with our MD who provides collaboration through protocol agreements with Manna nurse practitioners. No controlled substances of any kind are prescribed at Manna.
Manna is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships for mental health treatment. Manna is also a Biblical word and means "Gift of Life". Most of our staff hold Christianity as our core belief and we routinely pray and hold devotions with staff. We also allow prayer with clients to occur.
Pay is based on experience and ability to function independently. You will be trained by our previous DNP.
General Duties:
- Perform intake evaluations for prospective clients for PHP and IOP programs, including lab work and evaluation of appropriateness for admission to programs.
- Work with outside medical providers to fully assess clients for programs
- Evaluate/treat outpatient clients for psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Contribute information for insurance review or medication prior authorization as needed
- Participate in two treatment teams meetings weekly
- Participate in peer review and infection control, and other tasks related to CARF accreditation

Manna Treatment is a program under the Manna Scholarship Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit. Manna Treatment is a psychotherapy practice in Gwinnett County, Northeast of greater Atlanta area. Manna provides three levels of care: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Outpatient care. Our specialties are eating disorders and trauma; however, we also serve individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, and other mental health issues. We are a comprehensive facility that provides individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, dietetics, and medication management/psychiatry.
Eating disorder diagnoses served include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder for all ages and genders.
Manna does not have the capability to treat the following: sex offenders, A&D, schizophrenia, trans-related issues. We do treat ED and trauma for all populations, however.

Qualifications
- PMHNP or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
- Proficiency in patient assessment and care
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems, particularly Aura/Sigmund
- Knowledge of critical care and gastroenterology practices
- Familiarity with health issues related to eating disorders and/or trauma
- Experience in working with diverse populations (LGBTQIA ) as related to trauma and/or eating disorders
