The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and verifying the quality and quantity of materials received. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting smooth production operations within the manufacturing plant. This person reports to the Warehouse Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and unload incoming material shipments including railcars and bulk liquid trucks.
- Ensure all received materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas while maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions in the system.
- Review material and quantity received per BOL/packing list for accuracy.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to support inventory control processes.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to resolve issues with deliveries.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Operate the bagging machine when necessary for custom orders.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse area while operating safely and efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or inventory management preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Forklift experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.).
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
- Willing to work overtime when needed.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
