We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the Formulation Process Development department supporting the formulation and process development of respiratory drug products in the MannKind pipeline.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support development and optimization of engineered particle inhaled dosage forms. Specific unit operations include wet-stirred media milling, spray drying, encapsulation, and blistering.
- Perform physiochemical property characterization of drug product intermediates.
- Support batch manufacture for development, pre-clinical and clinical studies.
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments to support formulation and process development.
- Document, compile, review, and present data.
- Comply with safety guidelines and good laboratory practices which include the maintenance of laboratory documentation, written procedures and laboratory notebooks.
- Work with hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with MannKind safety policies and procedures.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Bioengineering, or Pharmaceutical Engineering, preferably within 1-2 years of graduation.
- Strong engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Fluency in MS Office software.
- Accuracy in following instructions, generating data, and documenting data and procedures.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Prior experience within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech industries
- You possess superior time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with general laboratory procedures is a plus.
- You have an intrinsic motivation to continually improve and optimize processes.
