The primary focus of this internship will be on CIS (Center for Internet Security) controls, specifically around vendor management. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and valuable insights into the implementation and management of these critical security controls.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop Evaluation Processes: Create and implement methods to assess service providers handling sensitive data or critical IT platforms.
- Manage Inventory: Establish and maintain a comprehensive list of service providers, including classifications and enterprise contacts, with regular updates.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain policies for managing service providers, covering classification, inventory, assessment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
- Classify Service Providers: Categorize service providers based on various risk factors and update these classifications regularly.
- Contract Management: Ensure service provider contracts include necessary security requirements and review them annually for compliance.
- Monitor and Assess Providers: Continuously monitor and reassess service providers for compliance with security policies, using standardized reports and customized assessments.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
- Commit to working 40 hours per week for the full 8-12 weeks without vacation weeks.
- Preferably within 1-2 years of graduation.
When and Where You'll Shine:
- Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday.

- A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the internship is required
Compensation:
- This is a paid internship position.
