We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Architect to join our team, providing crucial support to the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). Y ou will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of the network enterprise architecture.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Support the enterprise architecture, design, development, and deployment of network services in support of government customer.
- Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business / mission goals and objectives, while complying with the network architecture and design standards.
- Produce SDLC project artifacts such as requirements, design documents, diagrams, and other required documentation.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, providing root cause analysis and documenting information in tickets and knowledge repositories.
- Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN / LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
- Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation for network configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions.
- Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts.
- Evaluate and report on new / emerging network / communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance, and reliability.
- Evaluate and recommend changes and / or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices.
- Follow all customer network security processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with government policies.
- Collaborate and capture customer requirements, presenting customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.
- Perform site installations, technology refresh, develop implementation plans and schedules.
- Mentor, train, and guide Network Engineers.
- Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.
- Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations and engineering teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
