What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Program Manager position at ManTech?
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Clarksburg, WV.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The Deputy PM (DPM) shall provide ancillary PMO support to manage Contractor performance for the program, organize and manage operation functions. This shall include providing management direction to staff in multiple, complex tasking and resources in various locations.
- Serve as the primary backup to the C2B2 Program Manager (PM) and have management control over the program staff. This shall include enforcing all government policies and procedures applicable to Contractor personnel, both on- and off-site. This will also include keeping Contractor staff apprised of changes to existing, or the implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Work with the PM to formulate and enforce Contractor work standards and processes, assigning Contractor schedules to meet Government needs, reviewing work quality, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
- Engage in extensive multi-tasking and problem-solving efforts to ensure that staff are meeting program requirements and addressing customer needs as technologies and systems evolve.
- Work with Govt Task Managers (TMs) directly on staffing, issues, or other matters.
- Meet with Govt COR or TMs and contractor personnel to generate and review program deliverables, communications, and other data submitted to the government. Ensures conformance with program task and deliverable schedules and costs.
- Work with the COR or TMs and contractor personnel to formulate and review staff training needs for their assigned systems/services as the products evolve. This shall include on-premises infrastructure and also off-premises cloud providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 4 years of related experience preferred; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Possess prior experience in managing large teams, technical and management activities related to information technology systems and/or infrastructure; multi-tasking, problem solving, and developing and organizing approaches to meeting complex customer and deliverable requirements and situations.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- One of the following certifications: PMI PMP, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have current/active Top Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
