Our Client is looking for a Business Support Analyst for a Contract to Hire position in Pasadena, CA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide end user support, monitor systems, respond to queries, analyze, and escalate issues.
- Provide training to the organization for new and current business systems.
- Continuously identify issues with current business systems and processes
- Work with Senior level Analysts and Managers to assist in the development of scalable solutions carefully evaluated for downstream impacts
- Assist in identifying opportunities and participate in development of solutions for process improvement.
- Work with Senior level Analysts and Managers to help define business requirements and scope of new solutions.
- Build & manage relationships with internal business leaders, managers, and end users to gain a full understanding of processes and how the systems support their deliverables.
- Collaborate with IT in the development and execution of solutions and in the development and testing of test scripts for software and process changes.
- Research industry trends and technology advancements as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Technology, preferred.
- Certifications in Business Analytics a plus
- 2 years of experience in a related field or a combination of education and experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office products.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Assist Senior level Analysts in developing & presenting a strong business case complete with ROI.
- Demonstrates a long-term approach to solutions.
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt to people and new processes.
- Demonstrates appropriate discretion with sensitive information.
- Demonstrates strength in troubleshooting issues with software and data.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Systems Analysis (determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment affects outcomes.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Demonstrated skills in verbal & written communications, written test plans, articulating business issues into action.
- Critical thinking skills ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
