What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector for Machine Shop position at Manufacturing Company?
We are seeking an Inspector to join our team! You will conduct inspections of material and adhere to quality processes while identifying areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be focal point in communication with customers when addressing quality issues.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems and standards, many if the processes have not been improved on other than the ones related to quality issues. There is many more opportunities to improve processes to prevent quality issues.
- Monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Customers are looking for yield data more frequently now as well as PFMEA reports when quality issues arise.
- Evaluating production and supplier goods for any defects or deviations and initiate deviation approval with the customer.
- Collaborating with other department leaders to establish quality assurance standards and objectives
- Conducting regular ISO audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions
- Lead ISO audit annually
- Lead Customer audits as required
- Coordinating and leading training sessions to educate employees on quality control measures
- Collect, review and analyzing quality performance data to identify trends or areas for improvement
- Resolving quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner
- Resolve RMA’s issues, MRB/disposition and drive rework of RMA’s
- Ensuring products meet customer expectations and specifications adjust processes when we fail to meet specifications
- Interacting with customers, regulatory bodies (ISO) and suppliers to address any quality concerns or complaints
- Maintaining documentation of quality control activities and changes in procedures
Qualifications:
- 2 years Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
- Knowledge of GD&T a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
