What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Technician position at Manufacturing Concepts?
Essential Duties
· Troubleshooting Electrical, PLC and other Industrial Automation in a Manufacturing Environment.
· Design, install, Program and commission SMALL to MEDIUM size Automation control systems. Support required for larger Automation Projects.
· Support/Train Maintenance team members on an ongoing bases on the understanding of Automation and troubleshooting.
· PM of all Electrical and Automation Equipment.
· Maintaining of all PLC Program files and documentation.
· As needed Hands-on support to Maintenance Technicians with troubleshooting Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Equipment.
· Assist Maintenance Supervisor with Developing, implementing, and evaluation of all Electrical maintenance PM policies and procedures.
· Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts, ensuring such parts are on order for required jobs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required to supply and use of own hand tools to accomplish all necessary work (Automation PC and SW will be provided)
Education and Experience
· High School Graduate/GED with Electrical/Automation related College degree/certification.
· Minimum 10 years’ Experience in Maintenance Manufacturing Environment.
· Minimum 5 years’ Experience with Manufacturing Automation, PLC’s HMI’s etc.
