Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for the company’s operations. You will work closely with internal teams to identify procurement needs, ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions, and manage supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sourcing & Supplier Management : Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish long-term relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply of quality goods and services.
- Purchasing : Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, monitoring delivery timelines, and ensuring that goods and services are delivered as specified.
- Cost Management : Analyze market trends, supplier pricing, and company requirements to secure the most cost-effective and competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Inventory Control : Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to forecast demand and ensure the timely procurement of materials, preventing overstocking or stockouts.
- Contract Management : Review and negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and terms that meet both financial and operational needs.
- Quality Assurance : Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that all procured items meet company standards and specifications.
- Data Management & Reporting : Maintain accurate procurement records, track orders, and generate reports on spending, savings, supplier performance, and procurement activities for management review.
- Compliance : Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation : Regularly assess supplier performance to ensure they meet agreed-upon standards in quality, delivery, and pricing. Resolve any performance issues promptly.
- Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with internal departments, including finance, operations, and production teams, to understand their procurement needs and provide timely and effective solutions.
Qualifications :
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
