Job Title : Quality Engineer
Location : Pella, IA
Job Summary :
The Quality engineer is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes to ensure that products and services meet established standards. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to assess production and operational processes, and the ability to suggest improvements to maintain or enhance quality.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor the quality of products and services to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines and processes.Perform tests and measurements to assess product quality at various stages of production.Document and maintain records of inspections, testing results, and corrective actions taken.Process Improvement :Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and procedures.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.Support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality methodologies.Training & Support :Provide training to employees on quality standards and procedures.
Assist in troubleshooting issues related to product defects or process inefficiencies.Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and procurement, to ensure quality across the organization.Compliance & Documentation :Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality certifications.
Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports and documentation for audits or regulatory review.Coordinate with external auditors or quality inspectors during inspections.Problem Resolution :Investigate customer complaints or non-conformities, determining root causes and corrective actions.
Analyze quality data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Business.Experience : 3 years' experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field.Certifications : Quality-related certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) a plus.Skills :Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using quality testing tools and software.Ability to interpret technical data and quality reports.Working Conditions :
Location : On-site in a manufacturing facility.Work Hours : Full-time, with potential overtime depending on project deadlines and production schedules.Environment : Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, or potential hazards.
