Landscape Sales

Job Description

Position is responsible to bring a consistent flow of profitable new business to the company, in accordance with the sales and marketing plan. Executes the sales and customer relations policies, maintains and improves the Company’s competitive position to increase market share. Monitors installation/services and customer’s perception and attitudes towards the services provided. Identifies and communicates to production any specific customer preferences or requests for service and immediately works to provide solutions to any customer complaints.

Essential Duties

  • To meet or exceed sales objectives and targeted goals
  • To respond in a timely manner to all inquiries and proposal requests
  • To prepare and present approved proposals in a complete and professional manner.
  • Effective communication with production departments and division managers, contract specifications, and customer preferences to ensure customer satisfaction with services delivered.
  • To understand and anticipate customer and/or market needs, current and projected
  • To maintain complete customer and market awareness. Know where opportunity exists for improved customer service to current and prospective customers and opportunities for additional sales and market penetration
  • To assist with overall sales and marketing initiatives for the Company.
  • To maintain preferred vendor status with desired customers
  • To develop repeat and/or referral business from customers.
  • To manage personal effectiveness (competency, trust, communication, etc.) to maximize sales opportunities and development of customer relationships. Research and analyze environmental reports on land conditions

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business, developing relationships with general contractors, builders, commercial developers, property managers and others. Plans and maintains adequate cold and warm calls/leads to cover the market.
  • Prepares and presents proposals in complete and professional manner, according to company standards. Follows-up on hard bids and offers value engineered solutions to customers.
  • Ensures all estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customers.
  • Sells projects at approved prices to meet or exceed targeted profit margins.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests for bid in a timely manner.
  • Maintains record and tracking of all proposals in progress and timely follows-up to maximize sales opportunities. Aggressively pursues all proposals in progress.
  • Maintain keen awareness and provide candid feedback on customer relationships and the customer’s perceptions of the product and service being provided, to maximize customer retention.
  • Represents Company at various events, organizations and associations for the purpose of building relationships that lead to new business. Acts in the capacity of Company representative and develops community ties to enhance the public image and brand of the Company. Maintains positive relations with other companies in the industry and related industries.
  • Participates in various industry associations to increase knowledge of marketplace, sales opportunities, the competition, selling techniques and best practices.

Landscape Designer

Job Description

Advise on, plan, design and oversee the creation, regeneration and development of external land areas such as gardens and recreational areas, as well as residential, industrial and commercial sites. Essentially, they combine artistic skills with knowledge of human activity and the natural environment – and can help to protect and conserve the environment.

Essential Duties

  • Use creativity and the beauty of nature to create a harmonious, aesthetically pleasing and functional area.
  • Planning the finished product, tying in new features with current ones, by sketching it to scale. These drawings will be very detailed.
  • Performing site analyses that include the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, the view, and architecture style of the house.
  • The ability to communicate well both with clients and other types of workers (contractors, supervisors, etc) on the landscaping team.
  • Researching topics such as plants and their ability to survive in an area, guidelines and codes.
  • Reviewing plans, proposed changes, and any other necessary documents.
  • Oversees progression of the project to ensure that it is going as planned.
  • Keeping records, including everything from correspondence to reports.
  • Meet with clients, builders, engineers and landscapers to explain project goals
  • Prepare site plants, specifications and estimates
  • Develop vendor relationships to achieve pricing goals
  • Select materials based on client desire, budget and climate parameters
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assure adherence to final plan
  • Research and analyze environmental reports on land conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,804.00 - $75,532.00 per year
