Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Act as the primary resource person for culinary servers and clinical team members assigned to the dining room
2. Provides oversight and guidance to the culinary servers
3. Assist with onboarding and training of new culinary server team members
4. Responsible for managing the culinary server team completion of all pre and post meal service set up tasks
5. Ensure uniform and personal appearance for self and culinary server team is clean and professional
6. Responsible for regular rounding with customers to anticipate and identify needs and respond timely and appropriately
7. Act as primary liaison for guest dining services
8. Keep up to date with current menu selections for each meal service including chef’s special and soup du jour choices
9. Understand and pay attention to special diets (CCHO, mechanical soft, allergies) to assist in ensuring appropriate food / beverages are delivered to customer
10. Collaborate with clinical team members to learn the likes / dislikes of patients / residents to anticipate and meet their dining needs and service experience
11. Ensures each meal is delivered timely and meets presentation expectation in accordance with facility standards
12. Responsible for clearing tables through dining service times, using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
13. Assists with cleaning dining room and kitchen area during and after meal service or other events
14. Maintain neat and orderly appearance of dining room and work area at all times
15. Responsible for adherence and culinary server team adherence to daily sanitation cleaning schedules
16. Assists Dining Room Manager with planning facility events and other functions in terms of room set-up and event arrangements
17. Attends in-service training opportunities to refresh or acquire knowledge specific to department or facility standards
18. May participate in interdisciplinary customer and service improvement initiatives
