Summary
The FP&A Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing and preparing various analysis of firm financial results as well as assisting with the budget process and subsequent reporting of actuals vs budget. This would entail working with the senior analysts and preparing / reviewing information regarding revenue generation, financial profitability, expense analysis / allocations, capital expenditures etc. Overseeing and leading of department initiatives related to annual budget process, monthly meetings and various adhoc projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist and support key strategic initiatives in the Firm with financial modeling and data mining analysis
- Prepare impactful visual presentations of complex data to facilitate decision making
- Develop new approaches to integrate information from multiple sources to improve the ability of decision makers to have access to critical business intelligence
- Help identify and analyze new ways to understand underlying Firm profitability, including development of business models for practice areas of the Firm
- Weekly, monthly and annual preparation of standard management reports as well as any ad-hoc analytical requests from management
- Assist in managing the annual budget and reforecast process together with preparing related summary analyses and presentation which entails working with different Branch Office / Departments
- Performs monthly detailed expense analyses between actuals vs budgets of departments, offices and projects within the Firm including explanation for the variances
- Work and communicate with Branch Office / Department Heads as a Finance liaison to improve analysis of financial information
- Manage project improvement initiatives involving coordination of efforts between multiple departments
- Provide system support related to the extracting and loading of data across aggregate storage system
Qualifications
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree (preferable Finance or Accounting) with at least eight years of experience in a senior or manager capacity. Management and / or experience gained in the legal industry or professional services organization is a plus.
Compensation
The base salary range offered for this role will be $140,000.00 to $170,000.
