What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Northeast Business Development Strategy & Analytics position at MAPFRE?
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategy and Analytics Leader to join our team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Business Development for the Northeast Region, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of data-driven strategies that support sales growth and optimization, enhanced decision-making, forecasting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sales strategies and processes, advanced data analytics techniques, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve sales effectiveness.
This is a dynamic position involving market and channel analysis, market/channel goals definition and monitoring, as well as leading company strategic initiatives to evolve and modernize the different distribution channels in the region. Additionally, this position works in collaboration with various departments to ensure alignment with company’s objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or a related field, with a track record of driving business growth initiatives. Insurance industry experience preferred but not required.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience in sales forecasting, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis tools, and CRM software preferred.
- Leadership, overseeing direct and cross functional teams.
- Focus on ensuring solutions and transformation to improve customer and agent experience.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to senior stakeholders.
